Meet the Trainer

Rashelle is a life-long dog enthusiast whose background ranges from rescue, veterinary medical care as a technician, grooming, doggie daycare, and training. Having worked with a variety of dogs, and being an owner of mastiffs herself, she is a confident handler for dogs of all sizes and behavioral capacities.

Her passion for dogs took a professional turn when she came across an opportunity to become a dog trainer for a largely known pet company and apprentice under a behaviorist. Previous to that, she volunteered at a Humane Society where she was able to help with the handling of a boundless range of dogs- including those who needed help to overcome behavioral issues acquired from past experiences.

Moving forward from both opportunities, she was brought on board for an up-and-coming doggie daycare facility in Hawaii where she was able to design and implement a training program of her own and experience managing a daycare facility. This provided an amazing deep dive into the social behavior of dogs and allowed for her to become seasoned in the ability to read dog body language. Designing playgroups and maintaining control in a large off-leash environment highlighted the value of being able to assess body language and intervene effectively. Working in such a social environment has armed her with a robust understanding of dog behavior and has been invaluable in understanding the intricacies of how they communicate. The experience gained at this facility bolstered her view on the role of socialization and how critical it is in canine development and effective training.

Rashelle is a committed trainer looking forward to bringing her values of regimented exercise, biological fulfillment, training, proper socialization, play, and consistency to encourage strong and well-balanced relationships between dogs and their pet parents.
